But here’s where my thinking went, if you measure outward on the back fabric, 1 Inch from the edge of your completed quilted top piece, cut it, then fold it on itself, then that reduces that fabric to a measurement of 1/2 Inch, then it’s that 1/2 Inch that is then folded over the top quilted piece to become the binding.
